John Hendley is Wolverhampton Wanderers' club historian and program editor and the author of the Wolves Miscellany and Wolves On This Day. A Great Club, A Great History

Wolves' Greatest Games by John Hendley is a special text for a special club, one that is overwhelming with history. Yes, Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club is one of the England's oldest clubs, having been founded in 1877.

Wolves were one of the original founders of the Football League, an early ancestor of the English Premier League. They have even played at the same location, Molineux, for 100+ years.

The discussion of the great games is absolute magic, bringing up some of the best memories from the club's long history. There is a lot of history and a lot of great moments from the 1893 FA Cup Final to EPL matches in 2011.

I have to say it was entertaining to see the growth of the club (and English football for that matter) over the pages of the book. Hendley gives great snapshots of matches, describing their importance and where they fit into the team's history. You encounter great managers, players, and of course the always supportive fans that stuck with the club in good times (dominance of the 1950s) to lows (being relegated out of the Premier League and then the Championship).

I like the way the walks link in with the car tours. The different levels of difficulty and alternative suggestions for walks made this a very flexible book to use and an excellent guide for exploring Cyprus. (Roma, Amazon) Having always been a reader of Lonely Planet and Rough Guides I was curious to see how the Sunflower guides compared in terms of information and ease of reading. Very pleased to find a travel guide packed with useful information backed up by clear and easy to understand mapping, something that I have felt lacking in the other travel guides mentioned. It is clear that the authors have a detailed first hand knowledge of the locations they are visiting and this comes across throughout the book. (AC, Amazon) --.

Wow! I loved this book. Staging Space takes the phenomenon of event-based architecture and blows it up with stellar examples of media installations, museum design, scenography, and stage sets. The creative and inventive solutions presented in the book are sometimes out-of-the-box, but is a vast assortment of typically poppy and attention-grabbing designs meant to double as marketing and advertising solutions. Excellent resource for my own work.

I was looking for a book that would most comprehensively provide an overview of contemporary design within standard contexts, and the stunning phantasmagoria of interior designs -- warped, bold, bizarre -- left me with a whole palate of inspiration.

About the Author
Kevin Eads was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He graduated with degrees in History and Political Science from Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne, where he served as Student Body President and was active in Phi Kappa Theta fraternity. He then received his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University where he focused on International Law. After college, he began teaching law at the college level. He has received rave reviews from his peers and students, often being voted favorite instructor. A life long fan of the horror genre, he began to tell his own stories with the 2011 release of "The Amulet of Elisabeth Bathory" for Dark Moon Press. Since that time he has released "Lord Byron's Revenge," "Dracula's Disciples," Return to Camp Hell," and "That Sure Doesn't Taste Like Pork Sausage" which may be the first book of political macabre.

Please don't pay money for this.

I was really excited about this book. I liked the idea of Christmas / Holiday horror stories. Unfortunately this book reads like a 5th grader wrote it. I finished the book in a single, painful hour. About 1/4 of the actual book is ads for other horror / occult books from the same publisher. This was such a waste of money.

Fantastic, and devious.

Why not have a dark vision of holiday tales? Why not have devious and devilish stories about them? This book covers all of that, and in clever and unique ways! Great book, better author.

Couldn't put the book down!

I love all of Drew Lindsay's Ben Hood novels, but truth be known, I really think I fell in love the main character Ben Hood, geez what a guy!! The first of Drew Lindsay's books I read was "Black Mountain Affair" and after finishing it I wanted to read more by the author if I could. I did find more but discovered I had read the second book of the Ben Hood novels, so you might want to read them in order as written but not necessary as each has a definite beginning and ending so you are not hanging waiting for a sequel. The first is if interested is “Coral Sea Affair”.
Take an adventure in Australia!! It took me a bit to wrap my head around the dialect, and once I did it made the reading ever so much more exciting. In this one you’ll find intrigue, mystery, fear, revenge, greed, compassion, courage and more that is will keep you on your toes until the end. You will love this title!!

GREAT BOOK!

I was unsure if I would like this book but I figured hey, it's free I would give it a shot...and I am so glad I did! This was a for sure thriller. The characters were well developed and it was suspensful. It left me wanting more of this author and have to went to the beginning of the series. But even if you go out of sequence it still works! I highly recommend this book, this author, and this series!

Black Mountain Affair.

This is a really great book full of suspense, humour, drama and above all trust and friendships forged through adversity. If there were more than this book and the Coral Sea Affair in the series I would be first to put my hand up to read the lot. I think Ben Hood and his entourage are great. He really gets into and out of some tight spots in his quest for justice.
