The fundamentals, plus some next level tips

This book covers eight fundamental elements of success. A familiarity with the movie Wall Street may enhance your reading, but it is not necessary. It is slanted toward people in a sales career, but many of the traits/behaviors discussed apply no matter what your career, and no matter how you personally define success. It does not tell a "win at all cost" message, but instead reminds the reader that while sacrifices are required at times, be sure you don't give up long-term life rewards for short-term financial wins. One thing that could be improved is to more consistently present the message at the appropriate level for the intended audience; a couple of the discussions are somewhat elementary. Overall though, I found "Gordon Gekko, CEO: Lessons from Wall Street for a Winning Attitude" to be a refreshing book on winning, while providing reminders that life is multi-faceted. It is well worth reading and contains information that can help you achieve your goals.

This short, easy, yet helpful book inspired me to think a little differently about 'business'. Many thoughts are not original, but a nice re-wording and articulation of time-tested principles. For folks who 'saw the movie', I would sure think they will love this book.
