Same as all the self-help books on the topic

I keep thinking that one day I will find a book that has some new and different useful information in it about managing anxiety and putting your mind at ease. To me this is like every single other self-help book I have read on the subject, i.e., go to a quiet place, go to your "happy place" in your mind, breathe slowly in and out and think happy thoughts instead of the ones that are bothering you. There is not enough different or useful information for me to keep reading the same old hoohaw. I don't know why people keep writing books on this same tired subject because they are all the same. Until I can find something that really and truly is helpful and can tell me something I really don't already know, I'm not going to read any more of these. I hope they help others but for the years that I've been working at it, they just don't do a whole lot for me and nothing has changed as far as practice and practical advice.
